About The Position

Wealthspire is seeking a Wealth Advisor at the SVP level to work closely with the Ground Control team. This role will be based in the Ground Control’s Century City, Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will function as a trusted investment resource, partnering with the Ground Control team to address client needs and inquiries. As part of Wealthspire’s infrastructure, including its best-in-class investment and service teams, the Advisor will collaborate closely with the Ground Control Managing Directors and broader team to deliver integrated strategic wealth management solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in financial planning, business, accounting, finance, economics, law, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10 + years of experience in wealth management or a related financial services field; equivalent or complementary experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to support and scale new business offerings; proven capability to independently manage and prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Collaborative, flexible team player who is highly adaptable to change and receptive to new ideas and approaches.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
  • High degree of reliability, accountability, and follow-through on commitments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems, portfolio management platforms, and financial planning software is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • A professional designation, such as CFP, CFA, or another recognized credential in wealth management or financial planning, is strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or people management experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Ground Control Managing Directors to assist in managing and servicing client relationships and engagements on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze client investment objectives, risk tolerance, net worth, income, and investment experience to determine appropriate account structures and asset allocations.
  • Execute investment management and financial planning activities, including portfolio rebalancing, cash and money movements, required minimum distributions, tax-loss harvesting, charitable planning strategies, lending evaluations, and education funding analysis.
  • Monitor client portfolios, review investment performance, and recommend adjustments in alignment with client goals and market conditions.
  • Manage and respond to ad hoc inbound client inquiries related to investment opportunities; conduct research and coordinate with external advisors or subject-matter experts as required.
  • Actively service client accounts by performing and coordinating administrative functions, including account and asset transfers, transaction processing, performance reporting, and completion of required documentation.
  • Work closely with the Ground Control Managing Directors to ensure consistent, high-quality client service across investment, planning, and account-related inquiries.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of comprehensive financial plans using approved financial planning software and tools.
  • Prepare for, attend, and follow up on client meetings, including documentation of action items and coordination of next steps.
  • Develop and prepare proposals and presentation materials for prospective clients.
  • Coordinate with clients’ external advisors, including attorneys, accountants, and other professional partners, to support integrated planning solutions.
  • Maintain and continuously expand working knowledge of financial planning disciplines, including estate and gift planning, income tax strategies, insurance solutions, credit and lending options, education funding, and charitable and philanthropic planning.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, including additional licenses or professional designations, and actively participate in internal training, external education programs, and industry networking events.
