About The Position

As a sustainment acquisitions contracts specialist, you know that both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle are pivotal to your clients’ missions. As a Sustainment Acquisitions Contracts Specialist at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need to ensure that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country’s defense acquisition and contract process. On our team, you’ll develop, implement, and control contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a project or program through designated phases of the acquisition cycle. You’ll develop the management and acquisition strategy for assigned projects or programs within cost, schedule, and performance baselines as directed by the Program Director. You’ll organize, direct, and coordinate activities of functional specialists, including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration or data management, testing, and logistics. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with program integration and logistics planning of Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware systems
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD Acquisition Program Management, Acquisition Planning, Sustainment Infrastructure, and Organizational Planning
  • Experience with acquisition management support, including developing and coordinating briefings, developing PWS/SOW/CDRL documents, performing and documenting market research, developing acquisition strategy documents, and performing technical evaluations
  • Experience navigating staff coordination for acquisition activities
  • Knowledge of the execution processes unique to the sustainment and logistics organization
  • Knowledge of contracting strategies, contract types, Justification and Authorization (JA), Interim Contractor Support (ICS), and organic support attributes
  • Ability to demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and be highly motivated to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems, including SBIRS, Next Generation OPIR, FORGE, STSS, HBTSS, DMSP, WSF-M, and EWS
  • Experience with OTA
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.87 and the Software Acquisition Pathway
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to lead IPTs, WGs, PSRs, PMR, and other Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM)
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or CS
  • PMP Certification
