About The Position

Wellington Management is seeking a Sustainable Investing Co-op to support its growing initiatives in sustainable investment practices and strategies. This role will involve working closely with the Sustainable Investment Integrated Solutions team and Client Reporting Services team within InvesTech. The co-op will gain exposure to many aspects of the client engagement process and SI regulatory initiatives, partnering with relationship teams, product management, L&C, and reporting teams to respond to client inquiries and support the design and implementation of commercial and regulatory driven sustainable investment product solutions. The role will also support business efforts in sustainable investment research, including understanding client and third-party assessor concerns, preparing for policy and regulation changes, and advancing Wellington's positioning as a sustainable investment leader. Additional projects may include conducting analysis to support business strategy, assisting with client-specific analysis, and supporting the development of internal trainings and standard operating procedures.

  • Prior co-op experience is required, as this position requires a foundational understanding of professional workplace dynamics and responsibilities.
  • Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution and delivery of SI regulatory reporting requirements, with an initial focus on Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) reporting.
  • Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure efficient processes and procedures for regulatory reporting.
  • Fact-check regulatory reports, run competitive analysis, and conduct internal assessments on data availability.
  • Document meeting minutes for SI Reg Ops work stream meetings, including decisions made.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required related to SI regulatory reporting.
  • Advance the development of SI KPIs and assist with the SI tagging project.
  • Build out systematic solutions for Salesforce metrics reporting.
  • Lead the review process for qualifying, coordinating, and overseeing firm and product-level SI responses on questionnaires (RFI/RFP/DDQs).
  • Provide subject matter expertise for SI disclosure language and data analysis related to SI and climate metrics.
  • Partner with the SI reporting team to enhance reporting capabilities and manage governance for complex custom reporting requests.
  • Ensure strategic review and alignment with standard reporting practices while balancing regional priorities, client tiering, and growth opportunities.
  • Support the broader Client Reporting Services Team with non-SI related tasks as needed, such as running metrics, coordinating client communications, and assisting with quarter-end and month-end reporting.
