Impact Investing Co-op
About The Position
The undergraduate co-op will work as a junior analyst on the Global Equity Impact team, assisting with our research and investment process. Our co-op will gain exposure to all aspects of impact investing: thematic and company research; search for eligible companies for our investible universe; management of key performance indicators (KPIs) of impact; collaboration on our written materials; and portfolio implementation, monitoring, and analysis. Working closely with the Global Impact team, the co-op will gain insight into the operations and activities of a major fund management company. Depending on the co-op's skillset, he/she could (1) collaborate with the team on our company modeling efforts and 2) continue initial work to use data analysis tools to expand our investible universe and 3) assist with the composition of our measurement framework. Position will be based in Boston.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills, numeracy, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in impact or sustainable investing or international development.
- Independent initiative, creativity, resourcefulness, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Collegial attitude, team orientation, and a high level of professionalism.
- Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.
Responsibilities
- Research to identify eligible companies for our investible universe.
- Contribute to written material for our annual report and other team thought pieces.
- Develop and track impact KPIs for portfolio holdings.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks, projects, and any other investment or administrative efforts.
