About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students. Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions. Work with GAs and student GFSA ambassadors (Green Film School Alliance) to contact FMA faculty in production-related and writing courses to apply for Green Seals for student films (Environmental Media Association). The student will coordinate presentations, follow up with advice and track sustainability coordinators during the fall semester, 2026.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree.
  • Previous Green Ambassador work.

Responsibilities

  • Train other students on GFSA ambassador work.
  • Problem solve issues that may come up from faculty or students.
  • Work with Prof. Engel, division director, to track Green Seals.
