About The Position

This position supports the Office of Sustainability in managing outreach and communications programs that engage students living in residence halls and fraternity or sorority chapters, in designed sustainability behavior programs. Provides outreach to engage faculty, staff, and off campus students. The position may require evening and weekend work. The role involves interacting with and advising staff and students, training, mentoring, and supporting the development of interns, ambassadors, volunteers, and student leaders. It also supports communications efforts such as social media, newsletters, websites, and articles, and encourages and supports a culture of sustainability within the University by assisting with activities, events, programs, and educational opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
One (1) year of experience in assisting with the development, implementation, or marketing of sustainability programs.
Knowledge of environmental and sustainability programs.
Knowledge of best practices in project management.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of experience conducting community outreach programming.
