About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Sustainability Intern to join our team.  This position will support Rich’s Generations of Good (ESG) strategy by contributing to research, insights and data analytics that advance the our environmental and social goals. The role is ideal for a curious, analytical student eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate sustainability.  This internship will start in April 2026 and last approximately until October 2026. This intern will work 15-20 hours/week in the Spring and Fall semesters, and up to 29 hours/week May - August 2026.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling presentations.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in conducting research and interpreting data
  • Passion for sustainability, with a focus on the environment, in business practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, resilience, and curiosity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry research to inform sustainability projects including gathering, analyzing and interpreting data to help drive informed business decisions.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support the Generations of Good (GoG) strategy.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and deep dive analyses on environmental and social topics relevant to Rich’s operations, including topics on sustainable packaging, due diligence, sustainable sourcing and nature-related insights.
  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting Generations of Good performance.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to data queries and analytics on a wide range of sustainability topics to support customer surveys, external regulations and internal policies
  • Help plan, organize, and promote sustainability related events and initiatives (e.g., Earth Month).
  • Partner with teams across the organization to collect and manage information tied to sustainability to support team’s initiatives.
