About The Position

This co-op placement offers rewarding work and real-life experience at Definity, a company that is one of Canada's leading property and casualty insurers. The intern will support sustainability, IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility), and community investment initiatives. Key responsibilities include assisting with climate project deliverables, coordinating employee engagement and inclusion initiatives, and grant administration and data analysis to identify social impact themes and trends. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in Sustainability, Environment, Community Development, Business, or related field.
  • Passion for shaping a more sustainable, connected, and equitable world.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and champion new ideas.
  • Strong communications skills (written/verbal).
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data using Excel.
  • Results oriented with project management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Team player but also comfortable working independently.
  • Must be able to clear a background check (including criminal checks and leadership references).
