About The Position

This part-time position within the Office of Sustainability will support internal communications, dashboards, employee engagement, and benchmarking research, focused on environmental sustainability. The intern will receive guidance, training, and mentoring from colleagues in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time graduate student for the entire duration of the internship (including any extensions). Preference to those graduating in December 2027 or later.
  • Students must be able to provide their own transportation to the location.
  • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
  • Qualified candidates must be a currently enrolled student in good standing and working towards a qualified degree.
  • We are looking for candidates pursuing a graduate level degree. Majors in Communications, Journalism, Business/Marketing or related degree and a minor or experience in environmental sustainability will be considered.
  • Candidates must be highly motivated and can work independently on multiple projects with general direction and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Candidates must have the ability to establish and foster collaborative relationships across cultures and geographies and listen to and respond to stakeholder needs.
  • Must have the ability to field questions and respond in a timely manner
  • Must have a good sense of priorities, organization skills and manage time accordingly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Interest and ability to stay current and upskill on available emerging technology and design tools.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop communication toolkits, refreshing content to support the global sustainability employee impact community and key employee engagement initiatives
  • Curate, write, and post content highlighting sustainability initiatives on internal channels, including SharePoint and Viva Engage.
  • Track communication and engagement metrics, sharing insights for continuous improvement, and demonstrated impact
  • Prepare dashboards, tracking data and insights
  • Engage with employees from multiple geographic locations and countries
  • Plan logistics, participation, preparation and metrics tracking for workshops and trainings
  • Support special Sustainability projects as needed
