About The Position

The Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that organizations adhere to sustainable practices and comply with regulatory requirements. The Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to establish best practices and maintain a culture of sustainability and compliance throughout the organization. The role requires a blend of regulatory expertise, sustainability knowledge, and process management skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience
Prior experience in a regulated field and knowledge of product compliance and regulations such as, but not limited to: EU Reach, EU RoHS, US TSCA, PFAS, CalProp65 and Conflict Minerals.
Demonstrated experience overseeing sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives utilizing ESG management platforms, including Assent, IntegrityNext, GreenSoft, or comparable systems.

Nice To Haves

Masters Degree
Background in chemistry, environmental science or regulatory affairs
Prior experience working with data from CRM and ERP systems. SAP, Peoplesoft and Salesforce knowledge.
Prior experience working both in US and EU product regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between organizational teams, such as but not limited to: Commercial, Customers, Legal, Corporate Sustainability and SCoRE , other MAPs leaders, Global Supply Management, EHS in plants and 3rd party vendors if applicable
Deliver a detailed understanding of proposed, new and existing regulations that may impact Advanced Optics products and processes ( EU-PPWR, EU-Reach, PFAS, CMRT, EU- CBAM … ) and provide recommendations to Management for actions
Coordinate and facilitate ad-hoc meetings with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts to address issues, such as, customer requests, proposed regulatory changes/updates and plant/product-based surveys.
May also represent company interests in dealings with global trade industry associations.
