About The Position

Join our culinary team as a Sushi Sous Chef at UBS in Weehawken, NJ (1000 Harbor Blvd.), where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional sushi offerings for both our café and catering operations. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of related experience as a Sushi Chef, including supervisory experience
Experience in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, higher education, or related food service operations
Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation
Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel

Nice To Haves

ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

Support the successful culinary operations, including planning and menu creation, preparation, and cooking, service
Providing outstanding service to guests and clients
Manage a culinary team
Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team
Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, inventory, and ordering
Performs other duties as assigned
