About The Position
As a Sushi Prep Cook at Wegmans, you will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi rolls for sale in the store and assist customers with made-to-order or special requests. You will work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learning traditional techniques and developing your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The position requires availability for morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
- Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely preparation.
- Maintain excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Help customers with made-to-order items and special requests.
