About The Position

SpaceX is seeking passionate, experienced individuals to join its culinary team. Daily tasks focus on food preparation, setup, and operating a station at one of the company’s food outlets according to leadership’s specifications. The Cook supports SpaceX’s success by providing quality food options intended to boost morale and productivity.

This is a temporary position for three months; its duration is subject to change with minimal notice based on business needs. Permanent hire conversion may be possible based on performance and business need. The position is located in Brownsville, Texas.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the food service industry.
• Willingness to travel to various SpaceX locations for mission-critical projects.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Must be willing to work all shifts and be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to carry large, heavy items unassisted, up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8–12 hours per day.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lift objects throughout the shift.
• Must meet applicable U.S. government export regulation requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily preparation tasks.
• Ensure consistency and follow restaurant recipes for portioning, cooking, and waste control.
• Provide courteous and informative customer service in an open-kitchen format.
• Follow restaurant guidelines for guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment and space cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
