About The Position

This role involves performing various types of land surveys, including those for maintenance, location, and relocation of section corners using GPS and conventional surveying equipment. The Surveyor will also coordinate the layout and checkout of craft work, ensuring timely completion to support other teams. Responsibilities include performing differential level work, construction surveys for infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and buildings, and conducting basic and advanced field calculations. The position also requires adherence to safety precautions and the ability to perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to read drawings and make any necessary calculations based on the information given.
• Must be able to use Trimble software and equipment, both GPS and total station instrument.
• Knowledge of occupation hazards and standard safety precautions necessary in the workplace.
• Knowledge of survey field techniques, survey language, conventional equipment, GPS equipment, and other electronic surveying equipment & accessories.

Responsibilities

• Perform land surveys for maintenance, location, and relocation of section corners through the use of GPS equipment and/or conventional surveying equipment.
• Coordinate layout and checkout of each craft’s work.
• Get work done in a timely manner to ensure each craft can get their work done on time.
• Check your own work to ensure it is done correctly.
• Perform differential level work.
• Perform construction surveys for area roads, bridges, buildings and other properties.
• Perform basic and advanced field calculations for all aspects of survey work.
• Perform all additional duties that may be assigned.
