Freyssinet, Inc. is currently looking to hire Surveyors for projects in the Southeast Region. Freyssinet is seeking an experienced Surveyor to support our expanding operations across the Southeast region. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in construction layout and execution, particularly for bridge repair, structural strengthening, and specialty construction projects. This is a travel-intensive role requiring flexibility and collaboration across multiple job sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of surveying experience in construction environments
• Active surveying licenses in Virginia (VA), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), and Florida (FL)
• Proven experience working on VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) projects
• Strong proficiency with total stations and surveying equipment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in bridge construction, repair, or post-tensioning projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or survey data processing software
• Strong understanding of DOT standards and infrastructure construction
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-site environments

Responsibilities

• Perform construction layout, staking, and field measurements for bridge and infrastructure projects
• Operate total stations and advanced surveying equipment to collect and verify field data
• Ensure project dimensions, elevations, and alignments meet design plans and specifications
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to support efficient project execution
• Prepare and maintain survey reports, field notes, and as-built documentation
• Assist with quantity tracking, quality control, and documentation processes
• Travel regularly to project sites across VA, NC, SC, and FL
