About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a Surveyor to provide accurate and timely surveys to the Operations Team and ensure best practices are followed for all survey activities. This role reports to the Senior Mine Engineer. The Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring pit and bench surveying of ore stockpiles and rock dumps, providing accurate line and grade to construction and mining crews, and planning for blast drill hole positions, shovel digging lines, ramp gradients, and berm designs. The role also involves conducting aerial drone surveys of the mine site, assisting the Supervisor with month-end production figures, and aiding with Mine Planning Projects.

Requirements

Completion of a Survey Technician Diploma program or a Mine Technologist Program with relevant fields from a recognized post- secondary institution.
Possession of a valid G driver's license.
Demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in an open pit environment would be considered an asset.
Use of mine planning software and Trimble Business Center considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Ensure pit and bench surveying of ore stockpiles and rock dumps.
