Requirements

Advanced training or education in surveying, mapping or a related field, AND one (1) year surveying experience relevant to assignment.
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed field surveys at the assigned site.
May oversee the activities of field survey crews while maintaining accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
Update appropriate conventional and electronic (GIS) files.
Research previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence, and other records.
Recommend methods and procedures for conducting assigned surveys.
Prepare and present findings to engineering and operational personnel.
Perform other duties as required.
