About The Position

Heimes Corporation is seeking qualified personnel to perform construction surveys. This position involves construction surveying, GPS layout, staking, and drone surveying. The role requires working closely with project managers and field crews on a variety of civil construction projects. This is a full-time position within our growing GPS/Drone department.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and abide by DOT regulations.
• Zero tolerance policy for cell phone use while behind the wheel (including hands free devices).
• Must have a valid driver's license with no Suspensions the past 3+ years.
• Must have a clean background and be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Applicant must speak and understand the English Language.
• Being able to read and understand basic civil construction plans is necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in construction.
• Experience with CAD Software.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Understanding of Civil engineering plans and construction layout.

Responsibilities

• Construction Staking jobsites.
• Verify elevations and reference points on jobsites.
• Topographic surveys.
• Communicating directly with job foreman/superintendents & GPS Manager.
• Burning chips.
• Setting up bases.
• Basic GPS troubleshooting & calibration on equipment.
• Basic CAD work w/Trimble Business Center.
• Taking survey data and performing calculations.
