About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Survey Technician to join their Survey Services team in Houston, TX. This role involves travel to client sites, including offshore and process industries, to provide surveying services that aim to shorten project duration, improve site safety, increase accuracy, reduce field time, and minimize rework. The Survey Services team offers onshore and offshore surveying to help customers meet engineering, construction, and asset record challenges. The Industry Services team uses technical knowledge in sectors like oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, chemical, construction, and transportation to offer Total Quality Assurance solutions. Key services include vendor inspection, site construction services, asset integrity management, non-destructive & materials testing, 3D laser scanning & dimensional control, and energy & water consulting services. This position requires at least 50% travel.

Requirements

A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
An aptitude for math, computer technology, construction, reading plans, etc.
Willing to learn and take direction from senior Surveyors
Comfortable working within the oil and gas industry both in a plant environment and Offshore
Ability to participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop proficiency in the use of surveying knowledges, skills and abilities
