About The Position

We are growing our Survey team in Kansas City and looking for a Team Leader to help lead what’s next. This role is for someone who is already leading in some capacity - running crews, guiding field work, helping solve problems - and is ready to take a bigger step. Not just doing the work, but helping shape how it’s delivered and how the team grows. You’ll play a key role in delivering survey work from field to finish, supporting crews, staying close to projects, and helping ensure things run smoothly across the board. Along the way, you’ll lead and support survey crews in the field and office, stay close to project performance (scope, schedule, budget), work alongside engineers and clients to keep projects moving, help mentor and develop team members, contribute to how the team operates and grows in Kansas City, and be involved in a mix of field work, coordination, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Experience leading survey crews or coordinating field work
  • A few years of experience in land surveying (crew chief, party chief, or similar)
  • Comfort working across field and office environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A sense of ownership: you care about the work, your team, and doing things the right way

Nice To Haves

  • PLS is a plus, but not required - we’ll support you if it’s a goal
