About The Position

Phasor Engineering Inc. is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S./C.L.S.) for a permanent position to support growing operations across Canada. With a strong pipeline of large-scale projects, the company is well positioned for continued growth and is looking to expand its team with experienced survey professionals. This role can be based out of Edmonton, AB; Calgary, AB; or Moncton, NB, with flexible work arrangements including hybrid or work-from-home options considered for the right candidate. The successful candidate must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in one or more Canadian jurisdictions (e.g., Alberta Land Surveyor (A.L.S.) or New Brunswick Land Surveyor (N.B.L.S.)). Candidates willing to obtain additional provincial or territorial licenses will be supported, and Phasor will cover all associated costs. This is a professional-level position, and Phasor offers flexibility in working arrangements for the right individual. As a condition of employment, successful applicants agree to undergo a Backcheck screening, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Salary variations depend on factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and current market conditions specific to the role.

Requirements

  • Must be a Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S./C.L.S.)
  • Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in one or more Canadian jurisdictions (e.g., Alberta Land Surveyor (A.L.S.) or New Brunswick Land Surveyor (N.B.L.S.))
  • Willingness to obtain additional provincial or territorial licenses
  • Agree to undergo a Backcheck screening, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of project execution
  • Establishing communication protocols for the project
  • Identification of Client or Phasor interest holders and decision makers
  • Change management
  • Information dissemination routes and procedures
  • Systematic processes for project data and reporting
  • Being responsible for project financials and establishing cost controls
  • Performing periodic reviews to identify any risks
  • Liaising with Phasor personnel on a project to understand all project requirements including scheduling, cost, technical and logistic considerations
  • Managing any sub-contractors that are performing Geomatics work on a project
  • Managing shift schedules, accommodations and mobilization requirements for Crew Chiefs and Survey Assistants unless this work has been delegated to a Field Coordinator
  • Participating in division-level meetings to coordinate the Crew Allocation between projects
