We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Registered Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, preparing legal descriptions, and ensuring all work complies with state and local laws and professional standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting land development, engineering, and construction projects in and around the Tucson area.

Requirements

  • Active registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or equivalent in Arizona.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of [X] years of surveying experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GIS applications.
  • Strong understanding of legal property descriptions, boundary law, and survey principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise field survey crews and office staff in the execution of various types of land surveys.
  • Prepare and review boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
  • Utilize surveying instruments, GPS, robotic total stations, and CAD software to collect and analyze data.
  • Interpret survey data, maps, deeds, and other records to determine property boundaries and easements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports, maps, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to support project planning and execution.
  • Perform quality control checks and approve final survey documents.
