About The Position

Summit Design and Engineering is seeking a Survey Project Manager for full-time employment in the Raleigh-Durham area. The position is based at 1000 Social in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role is primarily responsible for boundary surveys, route location, as-builts and easements, and ALTA surveys, as well as some NCDOT work using OpenRoads or similar Bentley software. The position offers a guided career growth path in a supportive team environment. Salary is commensurate with experience and training, and a signing bonus is available for the right candidate.

Requirements

• North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor licensure.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Professional Land Surveyor.
• Experience with NCDOT projects and private-side surveying.
• Experience with GPS, RTK, VRS, and robotic surveying.
• Ability to use Bentley ORD and/or MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Willingness and ability to listen, learn, and teach others.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Land Surveyor licensure in South Carolina in addition to North Carolina.
• Ability to use Trimble Business Center.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor projects, with attention to budget, schedule, scope, risk, and quality.
• Manage, support, and utilize field and CAD technicians.
• Draft in ORD as needed, including preparing stake books (stake-out sheets).
• Operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or oversee drafting technicians.
• Perform deed, plat, and records research.
• Analyze and adjust field data.
• Oversee and/or determine boundary surveys, route location surveys, as-builts and easements, and ALTA surveys.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and construction personnel.
• Maintain company standards and procedures.
