Requirements

  • 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
  • Ability to create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
  • A valid current driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
  • Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.
  • Mentoring, training, and managing assigned staff in the field.
  • Operating robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
  • Performing survey calculations in the field.
  • Interpreting design plans and understanding as-built drawings and roadway plans.
  • Creating legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
