CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Survey Party Chief to manage our survey party. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of field surveying experience
  • 2+ years of experience supervising a survey crew
  • Part 107 License
  • Proficiency in using a robotic tool station, data collector, and GPS equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to read blueprints, plats, maps, site plans, deeds, legal documents, and field notes
  • Willingness to frequently travel to regional job sites
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and directing the survey party and the projects the team works on.
  • Leading a variety of land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, power line, pipeline, route, and construction survey projects for both public and private clients.
  • Ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and follow high standards of quality.
  • Providing supervision and mentorship to the crew through all stages of the project process.
  • Ensuring all employees receive proper training.
  • Using a total station, data collector, and GPS to collect and record various survey data.
  • Reducing field data, performing calculations, and downloading and filing survey data.
  • Reviewing all work upon project completion and certifying that it matches client expectations.
  • Ensuring vehicles and equipment are always in working order, requesting repairs when needed.
