About The Position

As a Party Chief at CFB, you will lead a field crew in conducting a variety of land and construction surveys. This role is critical to ensuring accurate field data collection, proper equipment care, and seamless communication between field and office teams. You’ll play a key part in project execution while mentoring newer team members and staying up to date with surveying technology.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in land surveying as a Party Chief/Crew Chief required.
Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
Strong understanding of land surveying methods, practices, and terminology.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead a field crew in conducting various land and construction surveys.
Coordinate and communicate daily with project managers, field coordinators, and office staff.
Operate and maintain survey equipment.
Upload/download field data and maintain accurate field notes.
Ensure care, charging, and functionality of all survey instruments.
Safely operate a company vehicle to and from job sites.
Follow all safety procedures and regulations on-site.
Mentor and train newer employees.
Stay current with surveying technology and equipment updates.
Perform minor equipment adjustments and ensure data accuracy.
