We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated New York state Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). Having PLS licensure in New Jersey and Connecticut, in addition to NY State, is a strong plus. The candidate will be working out of the NJ office in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Requirements

  • active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in New York
  • strong knowledge of surveying principles, procedures, and state regulations
  • must have experience managing field crews and office technical staff
  • proficiency with survey data processing and CAD software
  • experience preparing proposals and cost estimates
  • excellent organizational leadership, and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Having PLS licensure in New Jersey and Connecticut, in addition to NY State, is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of survey field crews and survey CAD technicians
  • overseeing project workflows from field data collection through final deliverables
  • preparing and managing survey crew schedules and office production schedules
  • ensuring compliance with applicable state regulations and professional standards
  • reviewing and certifying survey documents in accordance with NY licensure requirements
  • preparing survey-related proposals, including scope development, budgeting, and timelines
  • monitoring project budgets and ensuring profitability targets are met
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to survey staff
  • maintaining strong client relationships and support business development efforts
