Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Manager (PLS) to join our Survey team in our Myrtle Beach office. What You Will Be Doing: As a Survey Manager you will be responsible for the estimating, management, planning, scheduling and performance of multiple survey projects and personnel. We are looking for a candidate who will apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluating, and completing survey projects. In this role you will review and approve field measurements and direct and assist with preparation of survey documents. You will also conduct, and direct field surveys as required by scheduling or for professional supervisory and quality control purposes. In this role, projects generally consist of 50% boundary surveying for private clients and 50% survey support of internal clients associated with municipal engineering projects. Through a wide variety of public and private clients the work includes boundary surveys, ALTA Surveys, Right of Way Plats, CIC Plats, preparation of easements, topographic surveys, construction staking, and management of private survey clients. Our field crews are using state of the art robotic and GPS equipment.

Requirements

  • South Carolina Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to attain within 6 months with license from another state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of survey experience.
  • Good management and leadership skills (i.e. operating with a sense of urgency, managing conflict, exercising tact and patience, providing constructive feedback).
  • Working knowledge and skills in CAD and survey software. (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable at the Firm's standard rates.
  • Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
