About The Position

Candidates must be able to collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding. Assist Party Chief in running the field operations. Operates and maintains various surveying instruments, such as transits, level, theodolite, and electronic distance measuring equipment to measure and verify elevations, angles and distances. Coordinates with office staff and clients as required. Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures. Monitors accurate completion of daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections. Performs mathematical calculations to establish and locate reference points. Interprets maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications. Cleans, checks and adjusts survey instruments to assure accuracy of measurements. Oversees surveying activities in the absence of Survey Party Chief. Perform related work as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of utilizing data collectors, robotic and non-robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
  • 1+ years of experience in land surveying
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required for the role.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GDOT
  • Willing to train the right candidate without the above noted experience
