About The Position
NV5 is seeking a full-time Survey Field Technician - (Instrument Operator), for our Cary, NC office. This entry level position will assist the Party Chief and Survey Coordinator for timely completion of assignments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of land surveying experience
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment-preferred
- Ability to travel.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Attention to detail

- Mathematical competence for construction and survey computations
Responsibilities
- Operate the survey total station and level instruments.
- Record survey data in field books.
- Maintain all survey equipment.
- Assist party chief with survey files and field calculations.
