About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is a 100% employee-owned consulting firm with over 2,800 professionals providing engineering, architecture, information technology, and related services. JMT's Geomatics/Survey department utilizes modern technology and traditional survey procedures. JMT surveys is seeking a Survey Crew Leader to join their teams in Hunt Valley, MD or York, PA. This position will manage a field crew in daily survey tasks.
Requirements
- Experience with electronic data collectors (Trimble), digital levels, robotic total station, GPS
Nice To Haves
- Experience with terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry
Responsibilities
- Perform control, boundary, and topographic surveys
- Operate and supervise the use of all survey equipment including electronic data collectors (Trimble), digital levels, robotic total station, GPS and survey vehicles.
- Performs construction stakeout computations necessary for the completion of task assignments
- Tracks job progress
- Completes data collector maintenance
- Coordinates information for stakeout services
- Communicates the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned
