About The Position

Phasor Engineering Inc, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc., is seeking a Survey Crew Chief for long-term opportunities in Canada and the United States. This role involves working on larger-scale construction projects within the Geomatics Division, which provides spatial services for the electric power, underground utility, and communications industries using advanced geomatics technology. The Survey Crew Chief will perform daily field survey activities, communicate with project stakeholders, interpret design drawings, coordinate field crew activities, and promote the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Program. This is a field and shift-based role that requires travel, with a 20 days on, 10 days off rotation. A truck and equipment will be supplied, and travel and accommodations will be paid by Phasor.

Requirements

• Previous Survey experience in engineering, construction, or industrial surveys
• Must have valid Driver’s License and maintain a “clean” driver’s record
• Will be require to travel based on project location

Nice To Haves

• Technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field survey activities including obtaining survey measurements, staking for infrastructure construction
• Communicate effectively and regularly with Field Leads, Project Managers, Professional Land Surveyors and Client Field Representatives
• Interpret design drawings, field data, field sketches and base maps
• Coordinate field crew’s daily activities and supervise, mentor and train survey assistants
• Operate and maintain assigned survey equipment; ATVs/UTVs/Argos, Tools and Materials
• Actively promote Phasor's Health, Safety and Environmental Program
