Position Summary: Responsible for the overall completion of the data processing phase of specific field survey projects. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Valid Driver’s License Required
Able to pass Background Check Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills in coordinate geometry and trigonometry
Familiarity with third party software for data reduction and drafting including AutoCAD or Carlson preferred and MicroStation

Responsibilities

Performs topographic plotting, terrain modeling, plat preparation, note reduction and design file generation
Perform office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying
Perform property owner and utility records research
Performs office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments including QA/QC.
Tracks job progress
Coordinates information for stakeout services
Analyzes raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy
Prepares finished grade sheets, topographic maps, records of survey, corner records and other survey reports
Perform other related duties as assigned
