This individual will support surveying and engineering operations and perform work at the direction of senior staff. Requirements

  • HS diploma, A.A. Degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required, 5 or more years preferred
  • Good understanding of Surveying and Civil Engineering plans and deliverables
  • AutoCAD experience and proficiency required; Civil 3D experience preferred
  • Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel) required
  • High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Supports surveying and engineering Project / Task Managers in general work production and office operations depending on need and priority.
  • Work assignments will typically include production, packaging and submission of related documents or other deliverables at the direction of more senior staff.
  • Supports surveying and engineering staff directly on computational or CADD drafting tasks.
  • Assignments will be made where appropriate based on project requirements and demonstrated proficiency.
  • Perform required project tracking and archiving of documents and project deliverables.
  • Assigned tasks will be as scheduled in coordination with surveying and engineering department managers and working directly with Project Managers.
  • Perform all in accordance with Dewberry corporate policies and government and client requirements.
  • Boundary surveys, ALTA drawings, record plats, exhibit drawings, land record research, and deed composite.
  • Prepare designs or exhibits from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, schematic, conceptual, or detailed design drawings.
  • Prepare working drawings from conceptual plans.
  • Support and maintain company CADD drafting standards.
  • Coordinate with other team members .
  • Prepare miss utility tickets and maintain logs / records.
  • Plan submission packages and related documents.
  • Delivery of plans and packages to various county departments and survey field crews.
  • Site visits and field work may be required.
