About The Position

As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will perform technical tasks using technology in the A/E/C industry and help improve project efficiency and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include processing survey data to SAM standards, monitoring field crew production and quality, preparing survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings, quality-checking other technicians’ deliverables, and coordinating with your supervisor to meet client-specific requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing.
• Strong computer and technical skills.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is required.
• Proficiency in technical math.

Nice To Haves

• MicroStation experience.
• Knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms; not required.
• S.I.T. Certification; not required.

Responsibilities

• Process data using SAM standards, evaluating accuracy and sufficiency and ensuring compliance with applicable land survey project and industry principles under supervisor direction.
• Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
• Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings.
• Perform quality control checks of plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians.
• Coordinate with the supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are met.
