About The Position

The Surveillance Technical Assistant reports to the Surveillance Technical Manager and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the casino and security surveillance systems. This role involves routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and installation of various surveillance equipment, including video recorders, monitors, and cameras. The assistant will also help with inventory, planning and installation of new equipment, and responding to emergency service calls. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information is crucial. The position may also involve performing duties of an Operational System Agent and advising the Director of Surveillance on projects in the absence of the Technical Manager. The role requires the ability to access various installation areas and a working knowledge of computer software.

Requirements

  • Ability to access areas of installation of surveillance equipment (ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of computer software programs.
  • One (1) year in surveillance systems providing maintenance, repair and installation of video cassette recorders, video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motor and gears, system processors and controls, and system peripheral equipment.
  • Gaming Registration

  • Electronics background or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Surveillance Technical Manager daily for work schedule and assigned projects.
  • Perform proper maintenance and repair of the casino surveillance system and the security surveillance system.
  • Perform routine and systematic cleaning and preventative maintenance of video cassette recorders, video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motors and gears, system processor and controls, and system peripheral equipment.
  • Install equipment as directed.
  • Assist in the ordering and stocking of necessary cleaning supplies and spare parts.
  • Assist in the planning, placement, and installation of cameras and support equipment in new or reconfigured areas.
  • Respond to emergency service calls.
  • Maintain confidential information on all corporate Security and Surveillance personnel, projects, and programs.
  • Assist all Operational Shift Supervisors as needed.
  • Perform the duties of an Operational System Agent as required.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Advise the Director of Surveillance on all current and future projects in the absence of the Technical Manager.
