About The Position

The Surveillance Supervisor will provide support, direction, and training for staff to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, gaming regulations, and company policies and procedures while maintaining the integrity of the staff and the casino operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming registration.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Working knowledge of the Nevada Gaming regulations.
  • Ability to interpret regulations to oversee compliance at our Nevada properties.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Federal, State and local laws and regulations regarding the casino and gaming industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a personal computer for preparations of reports, correspondence, spreadsheets and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more.
  • Employees are frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Surveillance experience in a casino environment, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the protection of company assets in the areas of Surveillance with the Nevada Gaming Regulations and Internal Control Minimum Standards(MICS).
  • Ensure that the Surveillance department operates effectively and in compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Oversee the supervision, development, discipline and training of Surveillance team members.
  • Supervise compliance with established security and surveillance protocols and procedures, investigate incidents, and gather evidence.
  • Directly supervise Surveillance Operator(s) within the Surveillance Department. This includes training, coaching, reinforcing, and developing performance plans.
  • Communicate and maintain performance standards for interaction with customers and manage team members to anticipate, reduce, or eliminate complaints from customers.
  • Ensure team members maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment.
  • Oversee security and safety of casino work environment in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure team members follow security policies and procedures and report all violations. Perform duties in compliance with Nevada Gaming requirements.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Directly supervise observers within the Surveillance Department. This includes training, coaching, reinforcing, and developing performance plans (Supervisors are restricted from hiring, final coaching’s and terminations, this is performed by the Director and Assistant Director).
