About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shopping mall in Victoria, Texas. The role involves monitoring security systems and screens to identify suspicious activity, responding to incidents, documenting events, and helping protect people and property. The officer also leads a team of four Security Officers and handles their schedules and call-offs. The work includes walking patrols across the mall, stores, parking areas, areas behind stores, vacant suites, and riser rooms, as well as operating a golf cart. The officer responds to emergency calls, controls scenes for police, fire, and EMS, assists police with potential shoplifting cases, reports property damage to the client, and performs other duties as directed by the client. The schedule is Sunday and Monday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m.–11 p.m.; and Friday, 3 p.m.–9 p.m., for 32 hours per week. The posting identifies the role as full-time and offers an hourly wage of $15.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in the United States.
Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Pass an extensive screening process.
Have strong report-writing skills.
Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
Have strong proficiency with technology.
Have a state license if required.

Responsibilities

Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.

Analyze security systems for potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
Lead a team of four Security Officers.
Conduct walking patrols of the shopping mall, stores, parking areas, areas behind stores, vacant suites, and riser rooms; operate a golf cart.
Patrol to help prevent vehicle break-ins and thefts.
Respond to emergency calls and control the scene for police, fire, and EMS.
Assist with potential shoplifting cases alongside police.
Report property damage to stores or rooms to the client.
Handle Officer schedules and call-offs.
Perform other duties as directed by the client.
