About The Position

Provides supervision and monitoring of probationers from Courts and the Parole Board in accordance with DOC standards; to enhance public safety through supervision, follow-up, and the use of community resources, and commitment or re-commitment if necessary. Assists Probation Officers in the supervision, surveillance, and investigation of an assigned caseload of adult inmates. Investigates and verifies information on alleged violations. Assists in monitoring probationers and assists in preparing reports and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with surveillance and investigative techniques.
• Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Automated Databases.
• Demonstrated experience to collect pertinent information from a variety of sources, maintain logs, and document discussions with inmates, or probationers in a human service setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge and experience with electronic, voice monitoring systems &/or anytrax.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with case management computer applications.
• Demonstrated experience making referrals to community resources.
• The selected candidate must be eligible and successfully obtain required VCIN certification.
