About The Position

Support the Department’s public safety mission by supervising and monitoring probationers in accordance with DOC standards. The role enhances community safety through home contacts, investigative support, and coordination with community resources. It ensures accurate documentation, effective communication, and timely reporting. Surveillance Officers play a key role in probationer accountability and successful reintegration.

Requirements

Demonstrates the ability to collect, analyze, and accurately document information from multiple sources
Maintains detailed records in accordance with departmental standards
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Experience using automated databases and case management systems
Must be eligible and successfully obtain required VCIN certification
All applicants are subject to a background investigation
Applicants applying to a designated safety sensitive position are subject to a pre-employment drug screen
