This position will be training with the NDT Method Level III to become a Method Level 3 as well as learning to maintain the NDT program assigned to ensure skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by Howmet Aerospace. Assist in solving problems in NDT technologies, interfacing with Engineers and Quality and Manufacturing representatives on NDT issues. This position has responsibility to help control quality and technical functions for NDT processes, FPI, Visual, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Inspections. The NDT Surveillance Inspector shall be in training as the Level 3 in the NDT Method assigned and shall act as the Level 3 when needed. This position requires an operator to be a certified Level 2 for a minimum of 3 years in one or more of the following NDT Methods assigned: Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Visual, Grain, Ultrasonic or Radiographic Inspection.
