About The Position

The Surveillance Director is responsible for overseeing all surveillance operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, internal controls, and company policies. This role involves developing and implementing departmental strategies, conducting investigations, managing staff, and maintaining the integrity of gaming operations. The director will also manage departmental budgets, foster a culture of compliance, and mitigate risks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
  • 5 years progressively more challenging experience, including supervisory, in a surveillance or security role.
  • Knowledge of investigative procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of fraud detection.
  • Ability to prepare, understand, and analyze business strategies, Budget & P&L Statements and Business Plans.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and appropriate software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook).
  • Proven managerial, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment within established policies.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to respond in a calm and decisive manner and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.
  • Must be able to provide multi-shift responsibility with emphasis on swing and weekends.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nebraska gaming license.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

Responsibilities

  • Report violations of Internal Controls, Gaming Regulations, company policies, procedures, and incidents involving theft or embezzlement to appropriate leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental goals, objectives, and operational strategies.
  • Review daily surveillance and incident reports, conduct investigations, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform video reviews and investigations in support of operational, compliance, and regulatory needs.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to improve surveillance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead, develop, and train surveillance staff while establishing standards, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality departmental operations and regulatory compliance across all shifts.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, financial performance, and resource planning.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development for all surveillance team members.
  • Maintain the integrity of gaming operations by ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, ethical conduct, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks while promoting transparency and encouraging the reporting of potential violations or misconduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
