About The Position

Surveillance Agents are responsible for the daily on-going monitoring, observation and protecting all Wanaaha Casino operations, while ensuring the security and integrity of casino assets, staff and patrons, by utilizing all Surveillance equipment and floor observations. The Team Member’s sole responsibility is to observe and report. The Team Member must perform all duties in accordance with the internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
  • Must have the ability to learn, or possess the prior knowledge, of all casino games, as well as casino related department procedures and various Federal, State and Tribal regulations.
  • Ability to draft written reports writing skills, detail-oriented, proper grammar, and spelling – final reports must be admissible in court.
  • Perform assigned tasks under limited supervision or work well alone or within a team.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have the ability to see problems and avoid situations that could be deemed to be illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow Team Members or patrons.
  • Must be willing to learn how to operate all Surveillance equipment with a high degree of skill, including but not limited monitors, computers, controllers, cameras, and digital recording devices.
  • Ability to speak clearly, understand radio transmissions, and operate assigned equipment when necessary.
  • Ability to make quick decisions under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties over long periods of time.
  • Ability to visually observe and discern screen images and make recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, patrons, and Team Members. Use close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to process information effectively, to learn new materials and identify and define problems and to make decisions is required.
  • An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper business attire and always be friendly.
  • Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening, or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to attend additional training is required.
  • Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License.
  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and completes detailed Observation Reports for any violations of the Employee Handbook, Compact or Departmental Internal Controls and summarizes their investigations into Database Daily Logs.
  • Prepares Observation Reports for significant events.
  • Maintains video/audio surveillance of gaming activities and Security escorts using multiple monitors. These functional areas include, but are not limited to, Casino Table Games, Bingo, Cashier Cage, Video Slot machines, storage locations, Vault, entrances, outdoor grounds, parking lots, stairs and open common areas.
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of the house rules for each game offered.
  • Monitors Gaming Drop and Count Process as well as Emergency Drops.
  • Dispatches Security personnel to areas as needed, and monitors Security personnel during medical or emergency situations as well as ID or Welfare Checks.
  • Maintains communication and radio contact with Security personnel, Casino Managers, and other Surveillance personnel as assigned.
  • Monitors for adherence to Internal Controls and Title 31 requirements.
  • Monitors the Casino and associated areas, including patron and Team Members via close circuit television and via direct observation to ensure compliance with law, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Reports any irregularities to a Supervisor.
  • Documents illegal activities with footage, Observation Reports and other evidence to assist in investigations.
  • Routine Surveillance of the gaming floor identifying potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals, and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets.
  • Monitors the Alcohol Sweep.
  • Answers phone, communication devices, and two-way radio.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes results as required.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
