About The Position

The Surveillance Agent aids in the overall protection of the Casino. Agents guard against internal and external threats through the use of gaming and security cameras. This role requires knowledge of all slot/game procedures and Title 31 of the Virginia State Gaming Commission. The agent ensures all surveillance equipment is operating correctly, maintains logs, and upholds the confidentiality of all Hotel/Casino information. They report incidents observed during their shift to the Director of Surveillance, Surveillance Manager, or on-shift Surveillance Supervisor and communicate incidents to pit personnel via phone. The agent endorses the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment Inc. and operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitor casino activities, preparing reports and logs.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to interface effectively with the public and co-workers.
  • Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on an “as needed” basis.
  • Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.
  • Must be able to handle large amounts of information and take the best action necessary to correct the situation.
  • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout all shifts.
  • Use of office equipment and computers.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of games surveillance experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a security, casino, or surveillance related field preferred.
  • Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Be able to satisfactorily complete a 90-day surveillance training program.
  • Knowledge of all Casino/Hotel operations preferred.
  • Ability to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all surveillance equipment is operating at the start of shift, during shift, and completion of shift.
  • Maintains all logs and ensures accuracy of log entries.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Hotel/Casino information.
  • Reports all incidents observed on shift to the Director of Surveillance, Surveillance Manager, or on-shift Surveillance Supervisor.
  • Communicates incidents to pit personnel by phone.
  • Operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitors casino activities and prepares reports and logs.
  • Ongoing games protection training.
  • Interact with other departments, law enforcement and court personnel.
  • Obtain and possess a VA Gaming License from the VA Lottery.
