About The Position

The Surveillance Agent is responsible for performing surveillance duties to ensure state and federal gaming laws and policies and procedures are being maintained in games, slots, cashiers and count rooms. This role also provides security for slot equipment, monitors jackpot and floor fill data into the SIS Computer, and performs surveillance of the casino gaming floor, parking lot, parking garage, back-of-the-house areas, outbuildings and shops using complex electronic and video equipment. The agent must provide superior customer service, positively affect interactions with customers and employees, and have the resiliency to deal with difficult customers and work harmoniously with coworkers. This role involves observing and reporting gaming violations and/or thefts of property, operating monitor room equipment, maintaining video surveillance of the entire casino, recording gaming and security-related incidents, participating in court actions, learning various card count systems and game procedures, maintaining video logs, and responding to requests from supervision and other departments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of different table games.
  • Effective mathematics and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Two months of on-the-job training or through closely related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surveillance duties to ensure state and federal gaming laws and policies and procedures are being maintained in games, slots, cashiers and count rooms.
  • Provide security for slot equipment.
  • Monitor jackpot and floor fill data into the SIS Computer.
  • Perform surveillance of the casino gaming floor, parking lot, parking garage, back-of-the-house areas, outbuildings and shops by means of complex electronic and video equipment.
  • Provide superior customer service and positively affect interactions with customers and employees.
  • Observe and report any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of property.
  • Operate monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions.
  • Monitor slot equipment of SISSystem to provide security for company assets and funds.
  • Maintain video surveillance of the entire casino, i.e., table games, slots, food and beverage outlets, parking lot, parking garages, hotel/casino complex, outbuildings and shops.
  • Video record gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities.
  • Participate in court actions relating to gaming violations.
  • Learn and use various card count systems.
  • Learn all games in use at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa and all procedures and cheating indicators of such games.
  • Maintain paper video logs and maintain logs per department and company procedures.
  • Write proper reports as needed.
  • Respond to surveillance supervision and gaming control requests, as well as all other departments when necessary.
