About The Position

The Surveillance Technician I is a full-time position based in Lawton, OK, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of surveillance equipment, including cameras and networking infrastructure, at Apache Casino Hotel. Key duties involve ensuring all camera lenses are clean, participating in installations for special events to prevent theft, responding to system emergencies, and maintaining computer-generated maps for camera placement. The role requires proficiency in PC and networking skills, troubleshooting abilities for various equipment like UPS, Desktops, Cameras, and Servers, and strict confidentiality regarding gaming operations. The technician must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, and operate in a noisy, smoking environment, both indoors and outdoors. Adherence to company values and service programs is also essential.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of PC skills, i.e.: CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking skills, i.e. CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of gaming center operations and any incidents.
  • Must have trouble shooting ability for UPS, Desktops, Cameras, and Servers.
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Must be able to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy smoking environment and/or outside of buildings in all seasons and temperatures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have general knowledge of Video Management Software relating to surveillance systems.
  • Must have working knowledge of IP configuration and schemes, including the ability to pull MAC addresses and assign IP addresses to multiple edge devices.
  • Must have working knowledge of camera functionality including lighting conditions, proper lens variation required for desired shot, and ability to make recommendations as needed.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • One (1) year working knowledge of surveillance camera installation and maintenance for IP based CCTV systems required.
  • One (1) year of experience with IP CCTV recording equipment required.
  • One (1) year of experience with maintenance and installation of networking equipment required.
  • A+ certification and/or Network+ certification required, may substitute one (1) year of equivalent work experience.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain licensure to operate a mobile lift.
  • Acquire and maintain a Gaming license.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all surveillance camera lens and lens covers clean and free of foreign objects to minimize or reduce any hindering abilities of the camera to provide a clear, sharp image to the surveillance room.
  • Participate in all installation for planned tournaments and other special events, to ensure coverage is being provided to reduce and/or eliminate any possible theft or scam that can cause a financial impact to casino.
  • Respond to systems emergencies, recoveries, and outages to ensure coverage is provided for casino business needs.
  • Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of surveillance equipment to ensure coverage is always provided for casino needs.
  • Required to move, adjust, and focus all cameras on the facility to ensure proper viewpoints.
  • Use appropriate computer equipment and software to ensure proper functionality of surveillance systems.
  • Maintains and updates computer generated maps for camera placement over the gaming machines, as well as all maps used by Surveillance staff.
  • Regularly check Surveillance Equipment and logs to ensure all equipment is properly functioning and working properly.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed for cleaning and repairs, to readily have when replacement of part is needed.
  • Prepare handwritten and computer-generated reports in legible and clear concise language and maintain written/electronic records of work completed.
  • Assist with maintenance of low voltage infrastructure.
  • Assist with installation of low voltage cabling and infrastructure following IEC Standards.

  • Performs additional duties as required.
