About The Position

EXP is seeking a Traction Power and Rail Systems Superintendent to join the STM Blue Line extension project, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Quebec. The selected candidate will be a permanent, full-time employee of EXP, assigned to the Blue Line project and working directly at STM offices. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, contractors, professionals, and site stakeholders. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising work related to traction systems, electrical substations, medium-voltage networks, and various rail systems essential for metro operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant site experience, particularly in medium-voltage or power electrical environments.
  • Solid experience in supervising and coordinating multidisciplinary work.
  • Knowledge of electrical substations, electrical distribution systems, and energy infrastructures.
  • Experience in team management and coordination of multiple stakeholders.
  • Recognized leadership, autonomy, and excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the public transit, rail, industrial, or major infrastructure sectors (major asset).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate work related to traction power systems, electrical substations, and medium-voltage installations.
  • Lead and mobilize a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 to 25 people.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, engineers, supervisors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with schedules, technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage interfaces between electrical, mechanical, civil, and rail disciplines.
  • Participate in resolving complex technical issues and making on-site decisions.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of testing and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor work progress and identify risks that could affect the project.
  • Ensure the conformity of installations and compliance with applicable standards.
