The Surgical Technology Internship is a 17-week paid program for surgical technology (ST) students, entering their last semester of school, to work one-on-one with experienced STs in our system of hospitals and learn from Cleveland Clinic surgical educators and fellow interns in a classroom setting. A caregiver in this position must have the ability to attend a scheduled orientation, workshop day, and complete 150 internship hours. Hours vary based on school schedule. This internship opportunity is for current students enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program and graduating in May 2027. Cleveland Clinic’s Surgical Technology Internship program offers a paid role with enhanced experience days for Surgical Technology students in their last semester of an accredited surgical tech program. This 17-week program offers the opportunity to learn from Cleveland Clinic surgical educators and fellow interns in a classroom setting, providing the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience to jumpstart your career as a Surgical Technologist. This program consists of internship hours, an experience day, a workshop and time spent working hip-to-hip with an experienced surgical tech preceptor. Interns will complete 150 hours between January-April, at our the locations listed below. All interns will have scheduled touchpoints throughout the program with the Nurse Manager and Surgical Technology educator. Available locations: Main Campus Cole Eye, Lorain Ambulatory Surgery Center, Medina Hospital, Marymount Hospital, Fairview Hospital, Main Campus - General and Cardiac specialties. Start date and orientation will begin on January 4 and will be a mix of onsite and virtual orientation for the first week.
