About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator position plans, coordinates, facilitates, administers, and monitors activities on behalf of the academic program and in coordination with academic and clinical faculty. These activities ensure the quality of our students learning experience during clinical education. Clinical Coordinators accomplish this through: Assists with the development and assessment of the clinical education component of the curriculum with the Program Director. Coordination and implementation of the clinical education component of the curriculum including site placements, site visits, and evaluation. Responsible for facilitating students' clinical education. Responsible for ensuring clinical education program compliance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate degree, graduating from an education program in surgical technology, accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
  • A credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
  • A minimum of three years of documented experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
  • Knowledge of the curriculum.
  • Knowledge about the program's evaluation of student learning and performance.
