About The Position

The Surgical Technologist provides surgical assistance before and after operations and supports the surgical team during procedures. This role organizes and prepares supplies and equipment, establishes the operating surgeon’s sterile field, and anticipates the surgeon’s needs. During surgery, the technologist assists the surgeon with gowns and gloves, hands instruments to the surgeon, and prepares sterile dressings. After procedures, the technologist cleans surgical instruments and the operating room.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program or one year of Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to withstand stressful situations and remain flexible within daily work assignments.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability and desire to promote good interpersonal relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Scrub Technician.
